The City of Pueblo Wastewater Reclamation Facility (WRF) will be combining electrical Motor Control Centers (MCC's) for its wastewater treatment process into a satellite MCC (Phase IV). The MCC's will be the most vital to the WRF as they control the influent equipment. The project will consist of combining the electrical MCC's for the Old Head Works Building, New Head Works Building, Grit Removal Building, and Primary Clarifier into one new satellite MCC and the demolition of the old gear. Combining the MCC's will give the WRF the benefit of having all the MCC's in one location outside of classified locations. Phase IV will require the contractor to construct a new encloser foundation for the MCC to sit on; therefore, the project will include extensive underground work and underground pipes to contend with and some to reroute. The feeders for each MCC are dual fed; to avoid down time and any outages, the feeders will be done one at a time. The work must be completed in a coordinated and sequenced manner such that the plant will remain in operation for the duration of the project.
