LINN COUNTY CONSERVATION, PROJECT # 10-22 By direction of the Linn County, Iowa, Conservation Board in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 26 of the 2007 Code of Iowa, notice is hereby given that sealed bid proposals will be received by the Conservation Board at its office at 10260 Morris Hills Road, Toddville, Iowa,  no later than 1 p.m. on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2025, for the project entitled MORGAN CREEK PARK LODGE, Linn County Conservation Board Project # 10-22 The Conservation Board will hold a public hearing on this public improvement on February 24th and, following said public hearing, shall consider approval of the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost of construction for this project. All bid proposals submitted by the time and date stated above will be publicly opened and read by the Conservation Director or his authorized representative at their office at 10260 Morris Hills Road on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2025 at 1:05 pm. The Conservation Board has delegated this bid opening authority to the Conservation Director in accordance with Chapter 26, Code of Iowa. The Conservation Director will report the results of the bidding and his recommendation at the next Conservation Board meeting scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2025 at noon. This public improvement consists of work to construct a new park Lodge by the Contractor.  This work shall include all necessary work to provide a completed and functional facility suitable for the county’s use and include all associated parking, site work and service connections per plans and specifications. The estimated cost of construction for this project is Four million eight hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($4,850,000.00).  This estimate is for the completed pavilion and site work but does not include separate contracts pursued by the Conservation Board, Architect or Engineer. Work associated with this project may commence following Notice of Award, Work must commence no later than April 1, 2025 unless authorized by the Board. Final completion of project: April 17, 2026 A pre-bid meeting will be conducted on January 21, 2025 at 10:00 am.  The location of the meeting will be held in the Linn County Conservation Board Room at the Wickiup Hill Learning Center located at 10260 Morris Hils Road, Toddville, Iowa 52341. Construction documents will be issued to Contractors upon deposit of $150.00 per set.
