Pierce County is currently seeking an experienced organization to operate the mobile community intervention response team (MCIRT) that provides therapeutic, community-based services to reduce the demand on 911, emergency rooms, and other crisis services for individuals whose needs are better served by non-emergent medical and behavioral health professionals. The MCIRT team works with individuals in the community to identify immediate needs, provide stabilizing services, and connect them to long-term resources. Services shall be low barrier and address the individual’s overall well-being from a whole health perspective.Behavioral Health Therapeutic Court (BHTC) tax funding, in the amount of $1,125,000 has been made available for a multidisciplinary treatment team of qualified mental health professionals.
