The Village of Schaumburg is seeking bids for construction at six midblock crossing locations with heavy pedestrian traffic including three school crossing locations. These six locations scored highest in terms of need during the 2019 village-wide assessment. Improvements include sidewalk and ADA upgrades, installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons, signage, and high-visibility pavement markings. Minor HMA surface grinding and overlay is expected at several of the crossing locations.
