McIntosh Preserve is a 363-acre park, located within the City of Plant City. The project objective is to construct and restore wetlands to provide stormwater treatment and augment wetlands to maintain hydroperiods with reclaimed water from the City’s water reclamation facility. The excavated soils from the restored wetland footprint, will be kept on site and stacked to make a 50’ hill, in the shape of Florida. In addition to the excavation and planting of wetlands, the reclaimed water pipe infrastructure and associated apparatus; there are bid alternates for recreational amenities at the park such as restrooms and wetland boardwalks.Additionally, this project will be partially funded through a grant awarded by the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (see attached Grant Agreement No. LPA0038). All work performed, expenditures incurred, and project related actions shall be conducted in accordance with the terms and conditions of Grant Agreement LPA0038.
