The City of Lakeland is looking for qualified vendors capable of supplying a turnkey brushless field ground detection system for its 120MW, Mcintosh Gas Turbin Unit 2, located at 3030 E. Lake Parker Drive, Lakeland FL 33805. The unit’s basic specifications are summarized in the below table. The successful vendor will provide all engineering, design, major materials, sensors, detectors, electronic hardware, complete with startup and commissioning services. Further the system will include 5 years warranty and include 5 on-site annual service visits. The basic generator specifications follow:Vendor will propose their standard commercially available off the shelf detector system, engineer, and design the installation, for basic installation by Lakeland Electric, Installation of rotating equipment will be by the vendor, with the unit made available for installation and offline for a period of 10 days beginning in mid-February, 2026. LE will provide installation of stationary equipment under direction of Vendor. All external process and protective relaying and alarming will be provided by LE. The Siemens Turbo Generator Instruction Manual for this generator is included for reference in the appendix.Vendor will be in the normal business of providing power plant industry standard brushless field ground detection systems with a substantial client reference list of successful installations.After initial pre-bid meeting, vendor may schedule an additional on-site pre-bid visit up to 1 week before the bid due date.
