Contract will be awarded for the State OB System of Care - Maternal Care RN consultant, pending state funding available. The Maternal Care RN Consultant will provide specialized clinical and operational support to the Mississippi Maternal System of Care. Core responsibilities include participation as a designated member of Maternal Center Inspection Teams, contributing nursing expertise during on‑site evaluations of maternal care facilities, and assisting with the review of compliance elements related to maternal designation standards. In addition, the consultant will advise on trauma system development issues as they relate to maternal populations, offering guidance on integration of maternal care requirements within statewide maternal protocols. The consultant will also support the development, refinement, and implementation of the Maternal Care Plan, ensuring alignment with evidence‑based practices, regulatory expectations, and system‑wide quality improvement goals.
