Berkeley Unified School District Request for Qualifications/Proposals Re: Master Plan Services – Berkeley Unified School District March 9, 2018 (Advertisement Date) ADDENDUM NO. 1 (issued March 22, 2018) The following changes, additions, modifications and corrections hereinafter set forth shall apply to the Proposal and shall be made a part thereof and subject to all the requirements thereof, as if originally specified and/or shown. 1. Evaluation Criteria Each Proposal will be evaluated and ranked on the criteria set forth below. The criteria will be weighted as noted below in determining award. Statement of Proposals Response (100 Points): 1. Experience with similar California K12 school facility master planning. (40 points) 2. Experience with similar California K12 public school construction, renovation, and/or modernization projects(s) of comparable scope and complexity. (25 points) 3. Experience, professional, and technical expertise of staff. (20 points) 4. Experience with community process and examples of positive stakeholder engagement. (10 points) 5. Cost of Services (5 points) 2. Scope Definition Incorporate the following work in the Master Plan (developing project list): 1. Berkeley High School Theater Building A (unfunded portion)– master plan by CAW Architects 2. LeConte Elementary School (unfunded portion) – master plan by Gelfand Partners 3. Staff Housing Studies for Multiple District Sites 4. Plant Operations – Maintenance & Operations Building – 2017 update by HKIT Architects 5. Washington – portable replacement new building and administration relocation to McKinley 6. BAM – portable replacement new building Do not include the following schools/buildings in assessments: 1.
