TRANSITION RESTART PLAN Currently, we are teaching remotely in Logan Township School District ✘ On August 19th, the Board approved the following motion: “Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board approves the administration to submit a plan to the NJDOE for remote learning through the first marking period of the 20-21 school year.” 2 Original Recommendation ✘ The original remote learning plan...has students and staff interacting remotely for the first marking period. ✘ The staff could transition into the school building the last four weeks of this marking period to practice the new health and safety protocols. The safety protocols do not come naturally to social human beings, but are vital to be followed during this pandemic ✘ Toward the second half of the marking period, depending on Covid-19 data, we could bring back our highest-needs student population. 3 Currently, we are teaching remotely in Logan Township School District Logan is ALL REMOTE because we focused, in August, on making decisions which were based on the health and safety of all stakeholders, based on what data we had at that time. At the time of our last recommendation, clear health guidelines were just beginning to trickle down from the NJDOH 4
