Department of Public Works Invitation to Bid Litchfield Fire Department Facility Upgrades Litchfield, Connecticut The Town of Litchfield is accepting bids for various improvements and repairs at the Litchfield Fire Department. All bids must be submitted on forms and in accordance with specifications supplied by the Town of Litchfield, Litchfield Fire Department, and 258 West Street. Bids will be received at the Office of the First Selectman, 74 West Street, Litchfield, CT, 06759 until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023, and will be opened and read publicly at that time in said office. The bid can be downloaded from the Town of Litchfield web site: www.townoflitchfield.org. General Provisions Site Walk: February 15, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Litchfield Fire Dept. Final Questions cut off: March 6, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. Bid Opening: March 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Place of Bid Opening: Office of the Selectmen, 74 West St., Litchfield, CT Board of Fire Commissions review: March 9, 2023 Board of Selectman award bid: March 21, 2023 Successful bidder notified via email: March 22, 2023 Addendum #1 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. This was NOT a mandatory bid walk as first thought. That said, one other bidder did request to have a walk. We will allow bidders to come see the project until the Final Questions date. If you need to bring in a sub-contractors, please contact Dave Rogers on his cell to set up a time. Our apologies for the misunderstanding. If it were mandatory, it would have stated that in the bid. The caulk on the outside windows most likely has asbestos in it. Price accordingly The rear entrance to the big Hall will also have to be removed (it was installed in the 1990’s) and the flooring redone using the same product has the Hall. The heaters (4) We want: Modine Hydronic Unit Heaters HSB86S01 STM/WTR units. 86N Steam – 60.2N Water Based on 180 degree entering water temperature The flooring: Milliken Fortified Foundation 5.0 This is a prevailing wage project. When the Rates are received, they will be sent out as Addendum #2
