Department of Public Works Invitation to Bid 50 kW Generator – Litchfield Fire House July 15, 2024 Litchfield, Connecticut The Town of Litchfield is accepting bids for a 50kW, 62KVA, 120/208 Volt, 60Hz, three phase, LP fueled generator and a 50kW, 62KVA automatic transfer switch to be installed at the Litchfield Fire House, located at 258 West St, Litchfield, CT. Project includes removal and disposal of existing Cummins / Onan generator currently installed at the project location. All bids must be submitted on forms and in accordance with specifications supplied by the Town of Litchfield, Public Works Department. Bids will be received at the Office of the First Selectman, 74 West St. Litchfield, CT, 06759 until 11:00 AM on Monday August 5, 2024, and will be opened and read publicly at that time in said office. The bid can be downloaded from the Town of Litchfield web site: www.townoflitchfield.org. There is a mandatory bid walk on Monday July 22, at 9:00 AM at the Litchfield Fire House, located at 258 West St. Instructions to Bidders 1. Intent The intent of these specifications is to obtain a Contractor to install a new 50kW generator and transfer switch at the Litchfield Fire House as well as to remove and dispose of the existing Cummins / Onan generator which is currently installed at the site. The contractor shall have adequate licenses, equipment, and materials for this project to insure completion within 180 business days from the agreed upon starting date. All Bidders shall observe the following instructions and specifications: 2. General Provisions Site Walk: July 22, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at the Litchfield Fire House. Final Questions cut off: July 29, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. Bid Opening: August 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Selectmen’s Office. 1 Bid Return Envelope: Bidders shall submit bids in an envelope clearly marked, with the bid title and opening date to prevent a sealed bid from being opened prior to the opening date.
