Light Rail Vehicle New and Used Axle Press

Valley Metro Rail, Inc. ("Valley Metro") is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather technical and commercial information from manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers of hydraulic axle presses. Valley Metro is evaluating options to purchase an axle press with a minimum rated pressing capacity of 250 tons for use in its light rail vehicle maintenance operations. Both new and used equipment will be considered. The information gathered through this RFI will be used to better understand the products, services, and suppliers available in the market, to develop realistic budget estimates, and to prepare a clear and accurate technical specification for a potential future solicitation. This RFI is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to procure goods or services.
