Light and Heavy-Duty Vehicle Transmission Rebuild or Exchange Unit Service

Description

The City of Tucson intends to establish an annual requirements contract for Light and Heavy-Duty Vehicle Transmission Rebuild or Exchange Unit Service, as per the Scope of Work. For the purposes of this contract, the term “Exchange Unit Service” is defined as the removal of a rebuilt transmission unit with the replacement of a newly rebuilt transmission unit. The primary user of this contract will be the City of Tucson’s Environmental and General Services Department - Fleet Services Division.It is the City’s intention to award this contract by Group based upon the individual Group Total on the attached Price Page. Bidders may bid on one or more Groups. The following Groups are available:Group 1: General Motors Automatic TransmissionsGroup 2: Chrysler Corporation Automatic TransmissionsGroup 3: Ford Motor Company Automatic TransmissionsGroup 4: Allison Automatic Transmissions, Exchange Units Only To ensure adequate contract coverage, the City may make positional awards for each Group as follows:Position 1: lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder meeting specificationsPosition 2: second-lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder meeting specifications
