Library Facility Master Plan

Description

The City of Papillion is seeking proposals from architectural/space planning consultants for the development of a Library Facilities Master Plan addressing the library and the broader communities’ educational, cultural, and historic needs for the next 20 years. The purpose of this Facilities Master Plan is to aid future decisions about the size, location, design and function of library facilities so that over time, the Library may effectively serve the growing Papillion community.The Library wants to explore modernization, expansion, or replacement of its Sump Memorial Library facility to assure the ability to accommodate the growing and evolving service, program, facility, and technology needs of its patrons. This plan will be used to inform capital improvements creating up-to-date, comfortable, inviting facilities with choices for public and private spaces for reading, studying, working, playing, and coming together collaboratively.The plan is to include a thorough study of space utilization, identify long-term maintenance issues and capital improvements, and include cost estimates for potential remodeling, expansion, or replacement of the Sump Memorial Library facility located at 222 N Jefferson Street, Papillion, NE 68046.
