ADDENDUM NUMBER 2 TO THE BID DOCUMENTS Addendum Date: June 14, 2023 To all the general contract bidders of record on the Bid Proposal titled: Elections Roof Replacement. This Addendum shall be considered part of the bid documents for the above mentioned project as though it had been issued at the same time and shall be incorporated integrally therewith. Where provisions of the following supplementary data differ from those of the original bid documents, this Addendum shall govern and take precedence. Bidders are hereby notified that they shall make any necessary adjustments in their estimates as a result of this Addendum. It will be construed that each bidder's proposal is submitted with full knowledge of all modifications and supplemental data specified herein. Item #1 The questions below were submitted by BK Contracting and answered below. The existing roof has 6 inches of insulation and not 2 inches as listed in the scope of work. Does the owner still want to add 2.5” inches? If you want, we could add ¼” dens deck coverboard in lieu of the 2.5”. If the existing insulation is in good shape, it is fine to leave it. The ¼” dens deck can be added in lieu of the 2.5” additional insulation. Is the new EDPM roof to mechanically attached or fully adhered? The roofing system is to be mechanically fastened. Are you wanting to keep the stone pavers on the roof or have the contractor of choice dispose of as necessary? The pavers are to be removed and disposed of by the contractor. Are downspouts and gutters needing to be replaced? The downspouts and gutters are to remain.
