Landscape and Irrigation Maintenance for Lake Sumter Landing, Village of Spanish Springs, District 8, and Sumter Landing Portions of District 8

The Villages Community Development Districts are requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive landscape and irrigation maintenance services for Lake Sumter Landing, the Village of Spanish Springs, District 8, and portions of Sumter Landing within District 8. The selected contractors will be responsible for maintaining turf, trees, shrubs, annual flower beds, irrigation systems, and overall site cleanliness to ensure these highly visible community areas remain safe, attractive, and well cared for. All labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to meet the District’s maintenance standards must be provided by the contractor.The scope of work is extensive and includes routine mowing and edging, pruning, fertilization, pest and disease management, irrigation system monitoring and repair, seasonal color rotations, and debris removal. Special attention is required in high-traffic town center areas to maintain cleanliness, safety visibility, and proper landscape presentation. Contractors must follow detailed horticultural standards, irrigation performance requirements, and safety regulations to ensure consistent quality and long-term landscape health.Proposals will be evaluated by a Selection Committee using a structured scoring process that considers equipment and staffing capacity, qualifications of key personnel, organizational experience, quality of references, pricing, and overall proposal thoroughness. Awards will be made to the proposals deemed most advantageous to the District, and final recommendations will be subject to Board approval. All proposers must adhere to the RFP procedures and communication requirements throughout the solicitation process.
