A total of four (4) bids were received for Contract #13 – Conversion of Library into Classrooms at Leonia Middle School. The Bid Recording Forms are made Attachment #1 to this letter. The numerically low bidder for Contract #13 – Conversion of Library into Classrooms at Leonia Middle School was Brahma Construction Corp. with a Base Bid of $285,000. Based on our preliminary review of the bid documents from this contractor, they did not provide verification that they are prequalified with the State of New Jersey School Development Authority (NJSDA). However, we reviewed the NJSDA website and found that they are prequalified. Evidence of this verification is made Attachment #2 to this letter. As always, LAN recommends that the Board Attorney review all bid documents prior to awarding any contracts.
