The City of Sanford is accepting sealed bids for the construction of City of Sanford Jackson Heights CDBG-NR until Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 10 a.m. Pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes Section 143-129, sealed bids will be received by the City of Sanford, North Carolina, until Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 10 a.m. and then publicly opened and read aloud for the construction of City of Sanford Jackson Heights CDBG-NR. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened. The bid opening will be held at the City of Sanford (Engineering Dept), at 225 E. Weatherspoon Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Bid Description Bids shall be for furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment as detailed in the Contract Documents “Issued for Bids” on August 26, 2026. The major project items include: Temporary Traffic Control and Access Clearing and Grubbing / Demolition Temporary Erosion Control Public Sanitary Sewer installation Public Waterline Installation Storm System Installation Asphalt Milling and Pavement Patching Roadway and Sidewalk Construction Road Signage Qualifications Each bidder shall be appropriately licensed in the State of North Carolina as a Public Utilities Contractor as provided in General Statutes Chapter 87 and have the ability to produce evidence of experience in construction of projects of similar size and nature. Bidders must be able to comply with all local, state, and federal contract provisions as specified in the contract documents. Contract Documents The Contract Documents are available for examination in person at the City of Sanford’s Engineering Department located at 225 E. Weatherspoon Street in Sanford, NC, and online on Construct Connect. The Owner’s Engineer will also make the Contract Documents available for examination via email. However, only bids submitted on the Bid Form included in the Bidding Requirements purchased directly from the Engineer are considered acceptable.
