NOTICE AND ADVERTISEMENT TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received by the Monroe Township Board of Education at 128 Saybrook Avenue, Williamstown, NJ 08094 until 11:00 am local time on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 and will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter, at said place for the “Irrigation System Installation-High School/Middle School” Contract. No responsibility will attach to the Engineer, Construction Manager or Owner for premature opening of a bid which is not properly identified. Any bid received after 11:00 AM will be returned unopened. The proposed work includes the following major items: • Install new zones and lines for added irrigation areas on playing fields Specifications and Proposal Forms may be secured by prospective bidders during business hours (7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday; 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday) at the office of Bryson & Yates Consulting Engineers, LLC, 307 Greentree Road, Sewell, NJ, upon payment of $50.00 to cover reproduction and binding costs; and can be obtained up to 48 hours prior to the time set for the opening of the bids. Alternatively, specifications can be sent via FedEx, or other courier, for an additional $25.00 to cover shipping and handling. Prospective bidders may obtain full package of original bid documents via pdf format upon formal written request, ONCE added to the Official Bidder’s List. These PDFs are NONTRANSFERABLE to any other prospective bidders. No refund shall be made for the return of such documents. Each proposal bid must be accompanied by a $20,000 (or 10-percent of bid amount, whichever is less) bid bond made payable to the MONROE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION. All blank spaces in the proposal, except as otherwise noted, must be filled in; and no change shall be made in the phraseology of the proposals or of the item mentioned. All information that may be requested of the bidder in these specifications shall be included with this proposal. All erasures, interpolations, or other physical changes on the bid form shall be initialed / signed by the bidder. Contract duration shall be thirty (30) Calendar Days, starting after Notice to Proceed. The successful bidder will be required to furnish, within ten (10) days after the award, a Surety Corporation Performance Bond or Letter of Credit equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
