NOTICE OF BID Litchfield Housing Authority Renovations & ADA Upgrades Bantam Falls 130 Doyle Road Bantam, CT Sealed bids are invited and will be received by the Town of Litchfield on behalf of the Litchfield Housing Authority, until 2:00 PM on October 10, 2024 at the First Selectman’s Office, Litchfield Town Hall, 74 West Street, Litchfield, CT 06759, PO Box 488, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. To receive consideration bids must be in the hands of the authorized representative, no later than the day and hour mentioned above. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided and in a sealed envelope addressed to Jim Simoncelli and plainly marked with the appropriate title “Litchfield Housing Authority, Renovations & ADA Upgrades”. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at Bantam Falls, 130 Doyle Road, Bantam, CT, on September 19, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in the Bantam Falls Community Room. All prospective bidders are required to attend. A satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid, must be submitted with each bid. The Bid Bond shall be made payable to the Litchfield Housing Authority and shall be properly executed by the Bidder. A 100% Performance, Labor and Material Bond is also required. All sureties must be listed on the most recent IRS circular 570. The attention of bidders is directed to certain requirements of this contract which require payment of Davis-Bacon wages, compliance with certain local, state and federal requirements including but not limited to Section 3. This is a Federally funded project. Note: Any addenda to this bid will be issued via email from the plan room. Contractors intending to bid must register with Advanced Reproductions to receive addenda and or additional information. The Town of Litchfield and the Litchfield Housing Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to waive any informalities, or to accept any bid deemed in the best interests of the Town of Litchfield and the Litchfield Housing Authority. All bids will be considered valid for a period of sixty (60) days.
