Invitation to Bid Litchfield Fire Company Engine 2 Frame Repair Litchfield, Connecticut The Town of Litchfield is accepting bids for repairing rust on the frame of Litchfield Fire Company Engine 2. All bids must be submitted on forms and in accordance with specifications supplied by the Town of Litchfield, Litchfield Fire Department, 258 West Street. Bids will be received at the Office of the First Selectman, 74 West Street, Litchfield, CT, 06759 until 9:30 a.m. on Thursday October 22 2026, and will be opened and read publicly at that time in said office. There will be a mandatory one-time vehicle inspection of Engine 2 on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 10:00a.m. The bid can be downloaded from the Town of Litchfield web site: www.townoflitchfield.org. Instructions to Bidders 1. Intent The intent of these specifications is to obtain a licensed repair shop for working on fire apparatus to perform refurbishment work on a pumping engine. The Contractor shall have adequate licenses, equipment, and materials for this project to insure completion within sixty business days from the agreed upon starting date.
