Advertisement for Bids Section 00111 TIFT COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TIFT COUNTY, GA GEORGIA STATE PATROL AVIATION HANGAR ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids: Sealed Bids for the construction of the Georgia State Patrol Aviation Hangar will be received by the Tift County Board of Commissioners at the Charles A. Kent Administration Building, Room 204, 225 North Tift Avenue, Tifton, GA 31794, until 10 am on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 local time, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. Contractor License: Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a licensed General Contractor in the State of Georgia. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown. See Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. Work to Be Done: The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Georgia State Patrol Aviation Hangar as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of grading, drainage, base and paving, the construction of a 100’ x 100’ hanger with offices, sleeping quarters, hanger bay, 100’ x 120’ concrete slab with associated electrical, mechanical and plumbing fixtures and other associated items required for the complete project. This work will be awarded in one (1) contract with a 365 consecutive calendar day construction schedule. Plans and Bidding Documents: Copies of Bidding Documents for bidding purposes can be obtained from Watkins & Associates, L.L.C., 1606 Whiddon Mill Road, Tifton, Georgia 31793, Phone: (229) 388-8823, (Office of the Engineer) upon payment of $300.00 for each set (non-refundable). Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Tift County Board of Commissioners located in the Charles A. Kent Administration Building, Room 204, 225 North Tift Avenue, Tifton, GA 31794 or at Watkins & Associates, LLC on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. Upon request and receipt of the document payment indicated above, Watkins & Associates, LLC will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Engineer.
