This IFQ outlines the duties required of the chemical supplier for supplying bulk sodium hypochlorite to ECLWRF and its satellite facilities: the Chevron Nitrification Treatment Plant (CNTP/Chevron), Torrance Refinery Water Recycling Plant (TRWRP), and Juanita Millender-McDonald Carson Regional Water Recycling Plant (JMMCRWRP). Veolia also operates these facilities which provide supplemental treatment required by some industrial users. Sodium hypochlorite is used as a primary disinfectant in the processes and also used in breakpoint chlorination for the nitrified product.
