This IFQ outlines the duties required of the chemical supplier for supplying all three mini-bulk chemicals: sodium hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide, and ferric chloride to ECLWRF. Sodium hypochlorite is used as a primary disinfectant in the mobile microfiltration treatment process, sodium hydroxide is used in the membrane cleaning process, and ferric chloride is used as a primary coagulant in the pre-treatment microfiltration process. All three chemicals must be delivered by the chemical supplier. The chemical supplier shall also provide and install a telemetry system onto the tanks to remotely monitor the mini-bulk tank chemical levels. Access to the remote monitoring system shall be given the District and the District’s contract operator, Veolia.
