Invitation for Proposals for Grounds Maintenance

The City of Columbus is seeking proposals for GROUNDS MAINTENANCE AT FRIENDSHIP CEMETERY. The deadline for proposals is JULY 28, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. SPECIFICATIONS OF PROJECT: Provide labor and equipment to accomplish mowing of said property. Provide for trimming of grass that cannot be mowed around obstacles. Blow mowed debris from road, walkways and monuments, etc. Trim or cut trees and bushes in the proper manner. Remove fallen branches and limbs from the grounds and place at entrance for pickup. Remove dead or decayed flowers or debris from grave sites periodically at the request of the City. Rake all new graves. Contractor’s work will be inspected on a regular basis by City of Columbus personnel, mainly Cemetery Manager Rogena Bonner, who will be the contact person for the contractor. Barring inclement weather or unforeseen emergencies, the City of Columbus will expect the cemetery to be completely cut and trimmed within a week during grass seasons.
