Elm Street, Tekonsha, MI 49092 1. PURPOSE The Tekonsha Community Schools (“District”) invites sealed bids from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the installation of electrical infrastructure to support electric school bus charging. This procurement is conducted in accordance with all applicable Federal, State of Michigan, and local requirements, including 2 C.F.R. Part 200 Uniform Guidance and District procurement policies. 2. METHOD OF PROCUREMENT This solicitation is issued as a Sealed Bid (Invitation for Bids). Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based primarily on price, provided all specifications are met. 3. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall provide a complete, turnkey installation including: ●​ Electrical service upgrades and utility coordination ●​ Transformers, switchgear, panels, and distribution systems ●​ Conduit, trenching, wiring, and site restoration ●​ Installation of EV charging infrastructure ●​ Permits, inspections, and code compliance ●​ Testing, commissioning, and staff training All work must meet applicable codes including the National Electrical Code and all State of Michigan requirements. Specifications are intended to describe the minimum requirements. Equivalent products meeting performance standards will be considered. 4. BID SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Sealed bids must include: ●​ Completed bid form with firm fixed price ●​ Equipment specifications ●​ Project timeline ●​ Proof of Michigan licensure ●​ Insurance documentation ●​ References for similar work ●​ Certification regarding suspension and debarment 5. SEALED BID PROCEDURES ●​ Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled:​ “Sealed Bid – Electrical Infrastructure Project” ●​ Bids must be received by the deadline stated above ●​ All bids will be publicly opened at the stated time and place ●​ Late bids will not be accepted 6. CONTRACT AWARD A firm, fixed-price contract will be awarded in writing to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
