The City of Tampa's Mobility Department has been asked by FDOT to upgrade their switches to a SFP in order to accommodate FDOT's Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices which have been installed along I-275. The Ruggedcom SFP is the only device that can connect and combine the City's and FDOT's ITS switch. The City's intent is to purchase this from Intelligent Transportation Services, Inc.
