Instructional Courses for Adult and Continuing Education

Chesapeake Public Schools (hereby known as The District) seeks proposals from qualified vendors who can deliver high-quality workshops tailored to adult learners. Offerings should include a robust catalog of instructional programs and workshops. The objective is to provide professional development opportunities for adult learners to enhance their skills and knowledge in various areas. The courses should be highly interactive, engaging, and designed to meet the specific needs of adult learners.The duration of each course should vary based on the topic, offered in one day or over a few weeks. Topics may include, but are not limited to, professional development, art, and self-care. The courses should be designed to meet the diverse educational needs of adult learners, ranging from basic skills development to vocational training. Qualified contractors will provide in-person instruction at our Educational Service Center in Chesapeake, Virginia. Evaluation will be based on the ability to provide the services, prior experience in instruction with a focus on adult learners, and a catalog of offerings.The primary purpose of this qualified contractors list is to allow the District to select from a pool of vendor facilitators by eliminating the need to hire an individual to teach workshop-focused courses.  The successful vendor may host 3 classes per semester which occurs in the fall and spring.
