TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE ESSEX COUNTY, NEW JERSEY ________________________________________ DEGNAN PARK INSTALLATION OF DUGOUT SHELTER EQUIPMENT ________________________________________ NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE is hereby given that sealed bids for the Degnan Park Installation of Dugout Shelter Equipment, in the Township of West Orange, Essex County, New Jersey will be received at the Township of West Orange, Township Council Chambers, 66 Main Street, West Orange, New Jersey on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM prevailing time. The work generally consists of the installation of two (2) dugout shelters and associated appurtenances that were purchased by the Township for Degnan Park including labor and materials necessary for the completion of the project; all in accordance with the form of proposal, contract and specifications prepared by Township of West Orange Department of Engineering, 25 Lakeside Avenue, West Orange, New Jersey. Copies of the Plans and Specifications and other proposed Contract Documents are on file and open to public inspection at the office of the Purchasing Department, 66 Main Street, West Orange, New Jersey, and may be examined and obtained by properly qualified Contractors at this address on and after Thursday, September 17, 2026, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays, upon a non-refundable payment of $50.00. An additional $20.00 non-refundable fee will be required in advance for all prospective Bidders requesting that the bidding documents be mailed. There is no additional charge should a prospective Bidder request the documents be forwarded by FedEx or UPS (using the Bidder’s own account number). Bidders are notified that they must comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, as amended) and that award will not be made to any bidder whom the Commissioner of Labor and Industry does not certify. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided, in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. They must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Township Clerk, Township of West Orange, Essex County, New Jersey, and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the form provided of not less than 10% of the amount of bid.
