Description

This project will replace the existing dune walkover with a new sidewalk, ADA Parking space, Timber Dune Walkover Stairs and ADA Ramp. The existing timber walkover will be demolished, the site re-graded to accept an ADA sidewalk connecting to a new concrete ADA parking space and timber dune walkover stairs and ADA ramp to access the beach. These improvements will allow for improved access for users of the beach by removing the stairway access at the street, re-grading the site to allow wheelchair access to the park and beach area by means of an ADA stairway and ramp on the east end of the site. The parking improvement will allow for 1 concrete ADA Handicapped parking space with designated loading zone directly adjacent to the ADA timber walkover. There is an existing bench and bicycle rack that will need to be carefully removed, stored and reinstalled on the new dune walkover structure.
