Modern IT managers are asked to wear array of hats; infrastructure, cloud software, security, data management, network, and beyond. As technology continues to advance so does the opportunity of specialization within each of these buckets. In order to keep up with that rapid pace, SACOG is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a wide range of IT services. The services would include:support end users remotely and on-site (as needed)provide ongoing network securitynetwork administrationsidentify and manage IT system vulnerabilities and risksmaintain the network and recommend changes to hardware, systems, policies, and processes, as neededensure backup systems, security patches, and virus and malware updates occurdevelopment and annual testing of Business Continuity Planmanage and schedule hardware replacementconsult and advise on how technology can help SACOG meet its operational goalsThis solicitation not only represents an opportunity to contract with SACOG, but the eventual agreement has the opportunity to be available to all California local government entities (cities, counties, special districts, and joint powers authorities). This RFP gives an option to award a master contract that can be used as-needed by "participating agencies" in the Sacramento region and throughout the state of California.
