Independent Medical Examiners to Perform Medical Exams for Accidental and Ordinary Disability Retirement Determination for the City of Norfolk Employees’ Retirement System

Description

City of Norfolk (the “City”) and the City of Norfolk Employees’ Retirement System (“NERS”), seek proposals from qualified contractors to perform medical examinations for City employees who apply for an accidental or ordinary disability retirement. The Contractor’s Independent Medical Examiner shall be a board-certified, Virginia licensed physician.  The services of the Contractor shall be administered and coordinated by the Executive Director of the NERS.The City’s strong preference is for medical providers to have office locations within the City of Norfolk and the City intends to award contracts to multiple qualified contractors.
