OVERVIEW 2.1 Purpose The Idaho Department of Education (the Department) seeks information from organizations capable of providing statewide high-quality, in-person K–3 literacy coaching and related professional learning services aligned with the Idaho SMART Project (Striving to Meet Achievement in Reading Together). The Department is exploring the current market capacity to provide qualified literacy coaches who can work directly with Idaho educators, schools, and Department staff to strengthen implementation of evidence-based early literacy instruction grounded in the Science of Reading.
