This funding is a one-time allotment for certified Domestic Violence (DV) Shelters/Programs in Mississippi receiving Family Violence Prevention and Services CORE funds. The DV Programs will be allowed to prepare their shelters /buildings for different natural disasters, making their infrastructures safer for domestic violence victims and their families seeking temporary emergency shelter and their programmatic structure more secure during a natural disaster. Each program will have participated in the MCADV activity to create their own disaster plan and helped with the state DV disaster plan.
