Homeless Outreach and Engagement Services

Description

The City of Palm Desert ("City") is requesting proposals from qualified providers ("Proposers") to engage in a one year professional services agreement ("Agreement"), with two optional one-year renewals, for Homeless Outreach and Engagement Services. The selected Proposer will assist the City in operating a Homeless Outreach and Engagement Program ("Program") designed to promote the health, safety, and welfare of Palm Desert residents.These services will be funded through Opioid Settlement Funds. Under the Agreement, the selected provider will deliver street outreach, engagement activities, housing navigation, care coordination, and linkage to supportive services that reduce barriers to shelter, housing, and treatment.  The primary objective is to reach and support individuals experiencing homelessness in Palm Desert, particularly those with heightened vulnerabilities or increased barriers to housing. Services shall be delivered in the field, including street-level and community-based locations, with an emphasis on providing immediate and responsive support to anyone experiencing homelessness.The City will collaborate with the selected Consultant to establish clear and measurable performance indicators for the Services.
