Henry Vilas Zoo – Multi-Building Mechanical Systems Improvements Project

Dane County is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Engineering services for the Project Title, located at 702 S. Randall Avenue Madison, WI 53715. The requested services includes the evaluation and design of mechanical system upgrades across multiple zoo facilities including HVAC replacements, building automation system (BAS) upgrades and integration, and a new chiller system with associated photovoltaic (PV) infrastructure. Services will be performed under a professional services agreement.The purpose of this engagement is to address aging systems, operational deficiencies, and support animal welfare requirements long term. Consultants will be expected to coordinate closely with daily zoo operations and general operations staff on-site, and must comply with all applicable county specifications, ordinances, and local permitting requirements.Interested proposers should have demonstrated experience in public sector mechanical engineering design and complex building systems, and show capacity to manage projects of similar scope and complexity.
