SMDOT’s fleet of transit buses consists of 30-foot, 40-foot, and 60-foot compressed natural gas (CNG) buses, and 35-foot and 40-foot battery electric buses (BEBs). In the event that an electric bus would need to be towed a mechanic supervisor would dispatch a qualified technician to the scene.
