Hearing Officer Services

Description

The County of Sacramento is seeking requests for proposals (RFPs) from qualified vendors for Hearing Officer Services. Services are on an as-needed basis and usage is not guaranteed.The Hearing Officer serves in a quasi-judicial capacity while hearing cases and rendering decisions on a variety of cases arising from actions taken by various County departments against individuals and businesses dealing with implementation of the Sacramento County Code. Such cases may include, but are not limited to, general and special business license denials or revocations, parking citation appeal hearings, and dangerous animal hearings.The County Hearing Officer serves in a quasi-judicial capacity and is not legally empowered to practice law on behalf of the County, its officers or departments.The initial contract period is estimated to be January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2026, with the option to extend for up to four additional one-year increments through December 31, 2030, at the same terms and conditions, commencing with execution of a contract by the Contract and Purchasing Services Division. Initial contract pricing will remain firm through at least the first two years of the contract.
