The City of Thousand Oaks invites all interested Service Providers to submit quotes for a project at the Hill Canyon Treatment Plant (HCTP). The scope of the project is to repair an existing cleanout at the north treatment plant location. The cleanout has corroded below grade (approximately 12 inches). This section will need to be removed and a new pipe section installed, followed by backfill/compaction and installation of asphalt concrete to match the existing thickness. Adjacent to the cleanout work area are two clarifier structures (1 and 3). Each clarifier contains a metal scum beach structure, which has become corroded and failed over the years. This project includes repairs to the beach in Clarifier 1 and replacement of the beach in Clarifier 3 with a new one. The beach in Clarifier 1 is older and welded to the structure, whereas the beach in Clarifier 3 is bolted and can be replaced. The beaches have become corroded to the point that they do not function. The beaches need to be either replaced if the unit is still commercially available, or a new beach constructed to match the specifications of the original.
