Hazardous Waste Transportation and Disposal

The City of Tucson (hereinafter referred to as “City”) intends to establish a contract for Hazardous Material/Waste Transportation and Disposal to be utilized by the City of Tucson Fire Department Hazardous Waste Team (hereinafter referred to as “TFDHWT”) and by the City of Tucson Environmental and General Services Department, Household Hazardous Waste Division (hereinafter referred to as “HHW”).Under this contract, the Contractor shall transport and/or dispose of waste chemicals and other materials collected by the TFDHWT (EPA Generator I.D.’s on file, regulated by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality) and by the HHW. The wastes collected from TFDHWT for disposal are hazardous materials and wastes collected from individual City departments. The wastes collected from HHW for disposal are hazardous materials and wastes collected from individual households and certain eligible small businesses.The City collects various types of hazardous materials, and the items listed on the Price Page are examples of items that the City often collects. The Items found in Group A of the Price Page are the items that the City most frequently collects. Services are to be provided on an as-needed, if-needed basis and the City makes no representations or guarantees as to the amount of work which will occur under this contract. The estimated quantities listed on the Price Page are based on the best information available at the time of solicitation. In addition, the City reserves the right to make additions and/or deletions to the scope of work and/or list of profiles throughout the term of this contract.
