Hazard Mitigation Plan

The Palmdale Water District (PWD) is seeking proposals from experienced consultants to provide professional consulting services to prepare Multi-jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plans (HMP).PWD obtained a state grant to prepare a Hazardous Mitigation Plans for district. The proposed project is to prepare a regional hazard mitigation assessment and consequently develop a regional hazard mitigation plan that meets the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) guidelines for approval. The goal is to evaluate each agency’s vulnerabilities and apply those to a regional concept of emergency mitigation, in order to have a regional water utilities plan.Currently the district has conducted security threat vulnerability assessments and has a draft emergency plans that are compliant with California’s Standardized Emergency Management System and the National Incident Management System.
