Handyman Services for Minor Maintenance, Repair, Replacement, and Alteration of Residential Services

San Mateo County Aging and Disability Services (ADS) Public Administrator and Public Guardian (PAPG) seeks to establish a contract with a qualified licensed handyman to provide minor home maintenance and repair services for client properties under its care and supervision. As the court appointed executor of client estates, it is the duty of the PAPG to address any damages or safety concerns to client property which could result in injury or greater damage to the property.The absence of a standing contract with a handyman requires PAPG staff to seek bids for each repair, creating delays that can compromise client safety and prolong time-sensitive property needs.Projects may include, but are not limited to, sheet rock repair, stucco repair, door replacement, door frame repair, and window repair or replacement. Repairs often require projects start within 48 hours to address safety hazards or urgent property conditions. Services will be rendered on an as-needed basis.Through this solicitation, ADS intends to secure timely, reliable, licensed, bonded and insured, and cost-effective repair services that ensure client safety, preserve property value, and reduce administrative burden.
