Addendum #1 Page 1 / 2 TOWNSHIP OF GLOUCESTER CAMDEN COUNTY ADDENDUM/CLARIFICATION #1 SOLID WASTE COLLECTION FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF GLOUCESTER ************** You are hereby notified that the following has been issued to clarify the meaning of the specifications and the conditions set forth in said addendum are to be considered as binding as if the same was set forth in the original contract documents. All bidders must acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided in section 6, page F-16, 6.11 “Acknowledgement of Receipt of Changes to Bid Documents Form” and sign this addendum page. Failure to include both signed forms will result in rejection of submission. The following questions were submitted and responses are provided below: 1. Question #1: For containerized services for apartments and condominiums, question on Bulk Service – for the Township of Gloucester; Bulk Waste shall be provided once a week collection for the base service container. Bulk Waste service shall be for collection and transportation only and therefore a dedicated truck is required and cannot be mixed with any other solid waste. Where apartments and condominiums have space for open tops, can that be the required method of bulk disposal? Answer: At this time, no additional open top containers will be permitted at apartments or condominiums that currently do not have an open top unit. 2. Question #2: If an apartment or condominium uses open tops for bulk, are they responsible for getting bulk items into the open top dumpster? Answer: Apartment or condominiums will be responsible for the loading of any existing or proposed open top unit. Contractor will not be responsible to load M.S.W. into any container. 3. Question #3: Will hauler be responsible for any bulk items placed by containers if there isn’t a dedicated open top for bulk? Answer: The contractor will be responsible for once per week bulk collection with a rear loading type truck. This service shall be inclusive of all locations identified in section 5.01B & 5.01C (pages E-9 through E-13). Bulk collection is considered to be any and all M.S.W. that is placed outside the container. 4. Question #4: Question on compactor ownership? There is no clarity on the ownership of compactors in the containerized section of the bid.
