GIS Employment Data (RFP# 202021-06)

Description

SACOG uses a number of GIS spatial datasets in its planning projects such as the Metropolitan Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (MTP/SCS). An important component of the MTP/SCS is the base year, or the existing conditions data. Historically, to create the existing conditions employment dataset, the project relies on use of employment data that is primarily purchased from a third party vendor, cleaned and combined with other sources of information before being spatially converted to the parcel point level. This data is then calibrated to parcels using land uses and associated employment sectors.SACOG is soliciting consultant proposals for professional services for two distinct data products which vendor can propose for one or both products. The first data product is for a spatial dataset that is a point level employment inventory. The second data product will involve utilizing the employment inventory to build a parcel file which would include employment by type calibrated to the inventory.
