Galvanized Steel Hardware

Description

The City of Santa Monica's Public Landscape Division is looking for a vendor to provide galvanized steel hardware for use at the Santa Monica beach and pier.Galvanized steel is standard steel that is coated in zinc to provide enhanced corrosion resistance. The galvanized protective coating protects the hardware from corrosion due to moisture, saturated environmental conditions, or ambient humidity. Therefore galvanized steel hardware is required at the City due to the coastal marine environment and the high levels of salt in the air. The City requires galvanized steel hardware to ensure safety and durability on the sports equipment at the beach during the daily use by residents. Various galvanized steel screws, lag bolts and washers are needed at the pier to maintain the integrity of the wooden structure. The City is interested in a five (5) year contract.
