SCOPE OF WORK The entire elevator system shall be maintained as hereinafter described, in accordance with the following detailed terms: Contractor’s trained employees shall use all reasonable care to keep the elevators in proper adjustment and in safe operating condition, in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, ordinances and regulations. All elevators under this bid shall be maintained in first class operating condition and must comply with all maintenance and other requirements of the latest revised edition of the American National Standard Safety Code for Elevators, Dumbwaiters, Escalators and Moving Walks (ASME A17.1-2000), ASME Inspection Manual (ASME A17.2.3 – 2001), and as per the State of New Jersey Laws, and other applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, codes, etc. Should the AHJ Elevator Inspector call for a re-inspection as a result of the Contractor not performing, the Contractor shall pay for the re-inspection costs.
