NOTICE FUNDING FOR SERVICES TO OLDER ADULTS In conjunction with the Fiscal Year 2027-2029 Multi-Year Plan for Services to Older Adults, the Upper Peninsula Area Agency on Aging/UPCAP Services, Inc. hereby announces the availability of Federal and State funding for the provision of the following services to older adults of the Upper Peninsula during Fiscal Years 2027-2029: 1. Nutrition Services including: • Congregate Meals • Home Delivered Meals • Carry-Out Meals (COM) 2. In-Home Services including: • Home Care Assistance (Personal Care) • Homemaker Aide • Respite Care • Chore 3. Access Services including: • Transportation 4. Community Services including: • Adult Day Services • Legal Services (Must serve all 15 Counties of the Upper Peninsula) • Long-Term Care Ombudsman Services (Must serve all 15 Counties of the Upper Peninsula) • Elder Abuse Prevention (Must serve all 15 Counties of the Upper Peninsula) • Disease Prevention & Health Promotion (Must serve all 15 Counties of the Upper Peninsula) 5. National Family Caregiver Support Services • Respite Care • Adult Day Services (Transportation to/from Adult Day Services) • Caregiver Education & Training (Must serve all 15 Counties of the Upper Peninsula) • Kinship Support Services (Must serve all 15 Counties of the Upper Peninsula) 6. Caregiver Respite Services • Respite Care • Adult Day Services (Transportation to/from Adult Day Services) Letters of intent to apply for funding for the above-listed services are currently being accepted. Three-year contracts will be awarded to selected organizations through this open and competitive proposal process. Information on specific program information can be accessed at www.upcap.org Please note that letters of intent must include the geographic area to be served, and be: 1. duly authorized by the agency's governing body; and 2. signed by the agency's/firm's authorized official. Letters not meeting these requirements will be disqualified and returned. The deadline for receipt of letters of intent is 4:00 p.m. EDT on June 30, 2026.
