It is the intent of the specifications to describe the requirements for the furnishing of Indigent Burial Services for unidentified, unclaimed, or indigent bodies as required by the Middlesex County Department of Community Services, Office of the County Adjuster. The County estimates twenty-five (25) burials a year.The burial services shall fulfill the County’s obligation to provide minimum standard services for unidentified, unclaimed or indigent bodies. Services shall not include embalming, funeral home visitation, viewings, religious services and/or other amenities associated with private funeral. Services shall be provided with dignity and respect.
