NOTICE OF SOLICITATION OF BIDS The CITY OF OAKLAND, acting by and through its BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS, will receive Bids per the provisions of Document 00200, Instructions to Bidders, Paragraph 21, Bid Submission, until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 2, 2026, for the following Project: FURNISHING MAINTENANCE AND ON-CALL SERVICE FOR VARIOUS ELEVATORS, ESCALATORS AND CONVEYANCES AT PORT OF OAKLAND FACILITIES FOR THE PERIOD COMMENCING FEBRUARY 1, 2027 AND ENDING JANUARY 31, 2028, 2029, 2030, 2031 OR 2032 Refer to Document 00200 for required documents and items to be included in the Bid. The work of this annual contract consists generally of furnishing maintenance and on-call service for elevators, escalators, vertical conveyors, and wheelchair lifts at the Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport and the Port of Oakland Harbor Area, Oakland, California. The estimated yearly cost for the work to be performed is $375,000. A California Class C-11 contractor's license is required prior to award of this Contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or awarded any contract for the project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a). This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Effective January 1, 2024, amendments to California Air Resources Board (CARB) In-Use OffRoad Diesel-Fueled Fleets Regulation require the Port to obtain valid Certificates of Reported Compliance (CRC) from all contractors and listed subcontractors before awarding the Project. Bidders must submit the required CRCs as provided in Document 00200, Instructions to Bidders. The Port will conduct a pre-bid meeting at 10:00 A.M. on November 13, 2026.
