Job Posting: Full-Time Custodian Sangre De Cristo School District is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Full-Time Custodian. Location: 8751 Lane 7 North, Mosca, CO 81146 Job Type: Full-Time (Evening shift) Schedule: M-F Key Responsibilities: • • • • • • • Cleaning & Sanitation: Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of classrooms, offices, hallways, locker rooms, cafeterias, and all common areas. This includes sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming. Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize all school restrooms, ensuring fixtures and floors are spotless and supplies (paper towels, soap, etc.) are fully stocked. Waste Management: Empty all trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of waste properly. Floor Care: Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment (e.g., buffers, scrubbers) for periodic deep cleaning of hard floors and carpets. Safety & Security: Ensure all doors and windows are secured at the end of the shift. Report any necessary repairs, safety hazards, or vandalism to the principal or maintenance director immediately. Grounds Support: Assist with seasonal tasks, such as clearing walkways of snow/ice or light landscaping, as directed. Event Setup: Set up and break down furniture (tables, chairs, stages) for school events, meetings, and activities. Qualifications: • • • • • Experience: Proven custodial or janitorial experience, preferably in a school or institutional setting. Physical Ability: Must be physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds and operate cleaning machinery for extended periods. Knowledge: Familiarity with modern cleaning methods, equipment, and the safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals. Commitment to Safety: Must be reliable, trustworthy, and able to pass a required background check and fingerprint clearance, as mandated for all school employees. Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, interacting courteously with students, staff, and parents.
